This tournament will be played at Longview High School. All matches will be 8 game pro sets using no ad scoring. The first player to win 8 games (by 2 game margin) wins. A tie break to 7 will be played in all matches reaching 8 games all. Players should keep their own scores and make their own line calls. Parents are asked to please refrain from assisting with line calls or scores. If help is needed please see Jim at the tournament desk. Coaching or assistance from Parents and or spectators is not permitted. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to each of your scheduled matches and be sure and check in with the tournament desk at least 10 minutes prior to all of your matches. Both players should return to the tournament desk following each match with the winner turning in the scores and the balls. Parents please allow the kids to check in and report their own scores. Win or lose your first match you will play again! Winners and Finalists of all draws will receive medals and the Winner of the Consolation Draw (first match losers) will also receive a medal. Kids receive points for participating in this tournament as well as points for each match win. The current Point Standings for the Gran Prix Circuit is shown on the STANDINGS tab at the top of each tournament's home page. The top two point earners at the end of the July 2022 Tournament will be invited to participate on Team East Texas at the 2022 USPTA Jr. Gran Prix State Team Championships at Newk's Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels September 2022. Our East Texas Team finished 2nd in the State Championships last month in New Braunfels defeating Dallas, Houston, Fort Worth and Austin before losing to San Antonio. Thank you for playing in our first tournament in the Longview area. We've had a great turnout and will be scheduling a few more tournaments in the area throughout 2022!
