2016 Special Olympics Florida State Summer Tennis Championships

Hello and welcome to the 2016 Special Olympics Florida State Summer Games Tennis Competition. Congratulations to all of our athletes who competed in their Area Games and earned a spot in this year's event. We hope you enjoy your tennis experience. Skills will take place on Friday at 1:00 pm for all athletes. Formats for competitive matches will be as follows: Yellow Ball main draw Singles and Unified Doubles matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets of first to 6 using no-ad scoring with a 10 point match tie-break played at 1 set all. Yellow Ball consolation and positional playoff matches will be 1 set of first to 6 using no-ad scoring. Orange and Green Ball main draw Singles and Unified Doubles matches will be 2 out of 3 sets of first to 4 using no-ad scoring with a 10 point match tie-break at 1 set all. Orange and Green Ball consolation and positional playoff matches will be one set of first to 6 using no-ad scoring. Red Ball 1 and 2 Singles will be 1 game of first to 10 by a margin of 1. Red Ball 1 and 2 Unified Doubles will be best 2 out of 3 games to 10 by a margin of 1. Sign-up for Doubles for all levels will end Frdiday at 3:00 pm. Doubles play will begin some time Saturday afternoon and format will depend on time available. If you know your athletes wish to play doubles, please contact Howard as soon as possible as this will expediate the administrative processs. Athletes from different counties may play together, and if an athlete does not have a partner we will make every effort to find them one.
