2. 2025 Grand Prix Singles Jr. Tournament at University of Nevada, Reno

Welcome to the 2025 Grand Prix Tournament at University of Nevada - Reno!

Proceeds benefit the University of Nevada Tennis Club!

Our Tournament is Happening THIS Saturday, May 10th, 2025!

The University of Nevada, Reno Club Tennis program is excited to host a fun and competitive tournament, open to players ages 10-18. Tournament specifications are listed below.

  • Boys' and Girls' 15 & Under divisions will follow a round-robin format, ensuring every participant gets plenty of play-time and a chance to compete against a variety of opponents. It's a great opportunity for players to test their skills and gain tournament experience!
  • Boys' and Girls' 18 & Under divisions will follow a bracket-style format, guaranteeing at least two games for each player. Please check your start times prior to arrival and plan accordingly.

  • NOTE: Round-robin divisions will be playing 6-game pro-sets, with no ad scoring and a 5-point tiebreaker and bracket-style divisions will be playing 2 sets of 'fast fours' with a 5-point tiebreaker (in attempt to stay on schedule @ 45 minutes per game). Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the round-robin, and medals will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place finishers, as well as the 1st place finisher in the consolation bracket, in the bracket-style format.

Grand Prix points will be awarded to all SJTA tournament participants.
Junior Grand Prix Points Table - Players will accumulate points throughout the round-robin tournaments based on the following point chart:
• 2 points for completing two rounds in a tournament
• 2 points for each round won in the round robin
• 2 points for a BYE if the following round is won
• 2 points for a 1st round default if the following round is won (2 points will be awarded for all other default wins)

Entry Fee (Singles) - $40.00/player


At the end of the season, the top five winners in each age division, boys and girls, will be invited to attend a free training session the following spring at the University of Nevada, Reno and will have the opportunity to hit with Wolf Pack coaches and players.
